Virginia and Arne were taught this game in Texas. It is so popular that it is played 2-3 or more times a week with friends and relatives. A great gift for quality time in place of TV, video and other expensive pastime activities that are not as challenging as Pegs & Jokers.

This is a simple game that needs some concentration because of the strategy that needs to be applied, however having said that 5 to 90 year olds can play this game.

The standard rule is to deal 5 cards when playing with 2 to 8 people. However there is another way to play this game, by dealing 2 cards and playing with 2 couples/ partners or 3 couples / partners, this is when you really have to watch what's happening.

The rules are the same for 5 card or 2 card, except with couples/ partners you can play your pegs or your partners' pegs. If you play 2 card tables with 4 players at each table you will need 3 more decks of cards for the 2nd table.

The original game was played on a board like Chinese checkers only bigger with 4, 6 and 8 tracks to follow, with the individual boards that Arne makes, you are able to play 2 to 8 people and with the box to carry all the pieces it becomes more compact, and more convenient to store and carry to your friends house for an evening of fun.

EXOTIC HARDWOOD BOXES
Each game box is handcrafted in the U.S.A. using 6 to 7 different types of wood, and many have "book-end" matched tops. The wood comes from all over the world; Brazilian cherry, Ip'e, Zebra wood, Bubinga, Leopard wood, Padouk, Monterillo, Blood wood, Black Limba, Wenge, and some unusual domestic wood like Mesquite, Birdseye Maple, Flame Oak and Osage Orange. The boards are made from oak, maple, birch, hickory, walnut, or maple or birch inlaid with walnut runways. All the wood parts are finished with clear Water-base Uraphane.
